  • Developed an NLP-based headline generation system for Telugu religious news using mT5 Transformer and Contextual Feature Fusion (CFF) to generate culturally relevant and accurate headlines. Designed and implemented a complete text processing pipeline including Unicode normalization, tokenization, preprocessing, contextual feature extraction, and abstractive headline generation. Fine-tuned a multilingual Transformer (mT5) on a custom Telugu religious news dataset to improve headline quality for a low-resource language. Built an interactive desktop application using Python Tkinter with modules for headline generation, model comparison, fine-tuning, batch evaluation, and visualization of evaluation metrics. Evaluated model performance using BLEU, ROUGE, BERTScore, Entity Preservation, Confusion Matrix, Bar Charts, and Radar Charts to assess semantic and linguistic quality.
