India Pricing & Regional Eligibility

The Drivetube Job Hunt Program is priced separately for India at purchasing-power rates. This guide explains what an India plan includes, why an account can hold only one pricing region, how the job board and target country are fixed to India, and how add-ons work on India pricing.

Why Drivetube has regional pricing

The Job Hunt Program is priced differently in India than in the rest of the world. This is not a discount code or a limited-time promotion — it is a permanent, purchasing-power-adjusted price for the Indian market.

A 100-application plan costs ₹4,999 in India and $79.99 internationally. At prevailing exchange rates the India price is roughly 30–45% lower. We set it that way deliberately, because a price that works in San Francisco does not work in Hyderabad, and we would rather serve the Indian market properly than price it out.

That decision comes with one condition: India pricing is for people running an India-based job search. The sections below explain exactly what that means in practice, so there are no surprises after you pay.

The short version

India plan International plan
Price (100 applications) ₹4,999 $79.99
Paid through Razorpay Stripe / Apple
Job board India roles Any country you choose
Target country in Settings India Any country you choose

One account, one region

An account can hold India pricing or international pricing — never both.

Your region is set by your first paid enrolment and does not change afterwards. If your first plan was an India plan, your account is an India account. If it was an international plan, it stays international.

This means:

  • If you are on an India plan, you cannot later buy an international plan on the same account.
  • If you are on an international plan, you are not eligible for India pricing on that account.
  • A new account with no purchase history can enrol in either, depending on where the purchase is made from.

If you attempt a purchase in the wrong region, the checkout will stop before taking payment and tell you why. You will not be charged and then refused — the check happens first, deliberately.

Why we enforce this

Without it, the India price becomes an international price for anyone willing to route a payment through India. That would leave us two options: raise the India price, or stop offering it. Enforcing the boundary is what lets the India price exist at all.

What an India plan includes

The job board is set to India

If your plan is on India pricing, your job board shows roles in India, and the country selector is fixed rather than switchable. Everything else about the board works identically — filters, sponsorship and clearance badges, saved jobs, match scoring, and Get Resume & Apply.

Your target country in Settings is India

The primary country in your Job Hunt settings is set to India and cannot be changed. All other settings — job titles, domain, skills, experience, minimum match rate, JobScout freshness — work exactly as they do on any other plan.

Resume tailoring is identical

There is no difference in the product itself. You get the same Base Resume optimisation, the same R&D-backed tailoring against each job description, the same ATS-tested templates, the same cover letters, and the same application tracking. The India plan is not a reduced version of Job Hunt — it is the same programme at a price built for the Indian market.

Add-ons on India pricing

Extra applications: available. You can top up with a 100-application pack at any time, billed in INR through Razorpay.

Let Us Apply: not available for self-service purchase on India pricing. This add-on is priced per application in US dollars and has no INR equivalent, so it cannot be purchased through the India checkout.

If you want Let Us Apply on an India plan, contact support. We will look at your situation and tell you what is possible. Please do not buy a second account to work around it — a second account will be treated as a separate enrolment and will not be merged with your existing one.

Drivetube Autofill: currently unavailable to all customers on every plan while we complete testing. This is not an India restriction.

Who qualifies for India pricing

India pricing is available when the purchase is made from India. In practice that means:

  • On the web, your connection resolves to India, and payment is completed through Razorpay, which accepts Indian payment instruments.
  • On iOS, your App Store account uses the India storefront, and Apple bills you at Indian prices.

You do not need to submit documents or verify your identity. The payment method and storefront do the work.

A note on using a VPN: setting a VPN to India will show you Indian prices, but the payment itself must still complete through an Indian payment rail. Razorpay only accepts Indian payment instruments, so an international card will not complete the purchase.

Moving between regions

We cannot move an existing account between regions. The region is bound to what was actually paid, and changing it would mean refunding and re-charging at a different price.

If your circumstances have genuinely changed — you have relocated permanently, for example — contact support and we will tell you what your options are. This is handled case by case rather than by a self-service button, because the alternative is an easily-abused switch.

If you relocate mid-plan

Your plan continues normally. Your applications, tailored resumes, cover letters and tracking are unaffected, and nothing is cancelled or reduced.

What stays fixed is the market your job board targets. An India plan continues to search Indian roles regardless of where you sign in from. If you have moved abroad and need to search international roles, contact support before buying anything.

What happens if you try to do something your plan does not allow

Every restriction on this page is enforced by our servers, not just hidden in the interface. If you attempt a blocked action — switching your job board to another country, buying an add-on that is not offered on your plan, or purchasing a plan from the wrong region — the request is refused with a clear explanation.

Nothing fails silently, and nothing is charged and then withheld.

Frequently asked questions

It is purchasing-power pricing. A price that is reasonable in the United States is not reasonable relative to Indian salaries, and we would rather serve the Indian market at a price that works there than price it out entirely. The India price is not a promotion or a discount code — it is a permanent price for that market, and it is the same for every Indian customer.

The purchase has to complete through an Indian payment rail. On the web that means Razorpay, which only accepts Indian payment instruments; on iOS it means an App Store account on the India storefront. If you can complete a purchase that way, the plan will activate — but it will be an India plan, which means your job board and target country are fixed to India. If you are searching for roles outside India, the India plan will not do what you need.

A VPN will change the prices you see, but it will not complete the payment. India checkout runs through Razorpay, which only accepts Indian payment instruments, so an international card cannot pay an INR order. Even if the purchase somehow completed, the account would be locked to the Indian job market, which is the opposite of what most people using a VPN for this are trying to achieve.

No. India plans target the Indian job market, and both the job board region and the primary country in your settings are fixed to India. If you need to search internationally, you need an international plan. We cannot convert an existing India plan into an international one — contact support if your circumstances have genuinely changed and we will tell you what is possible.

No. An account holds one pricing region, decided by its first paid enrolment and fixed after that. An account on international pricing is not eligible for India pricing, and the attempt is stopped at checkout before any payment is taken. Top up using the extra-applications pack on your existing plan instead.

Let Us Apply is priced per application in US dollars and has no INR equivalent, so it cannot be sold through the India checkout, which processes rupees only. If you want Let Us Apply on an India plan, contact support and we will tell you what is possible for your situation. Please do not open a second account to work around it — separate accounts are treated as separate enrolments and cannot be merged.

Yes. The 100-application top-up pack is available on India pricing and is billed in INR through Razorpay. It is added to your existing plan immediately, and your unused applications carry across as normal within your programme period.

No. You get the same Base Resume optimisation, the same tailored resume and cover letter for every application, the same ATS-tested templates, the same job matching and the same application tracking. The only differences are the price, the payment provider, the job market targeted, and the availability of the Let Us Apply add-on for self-service purchase.

Your plan continues normally and nothing is cancelled or reduced. Your applications, tailored documents and tracking are unaffected. What does not change is the market your job board targets — an India plan keeps searching Indian roles regardless of where you sign in from. If you have relocated and need to search international roles, contact support before purchasing anything.

The request is refused with a clear explanation, and you are never charged for something you cannot use. Region checks happen before payment is taken, not after, so a purchase in the wrong region is stopped at checkout rather than being charged and then reversed. Every restriction is enforced on our servers, not merely hidden in the interface.

Community membership has its own India pricing and its own terms, which are shown at checkout. This page covers the Job Hunt Program specifically — the one-account-one-region rule described here applies to Job Hunt plans.
